Objectives
The SAVE THE STRIPES Society recognises the fact that environmental conservation awareness is a universal requirement. The main objectives of the society are to work for the betterment of ecology and environment, including works related to the following specific areas:
- Preparation & implementation of schemes & projects related to Wildlife Conservation & Preservation
- To request support and co-operation from people for conservation of wild-life and its habitat
- Conducting awareness camps, to spread the message of nature conservation for the general masses
- Assisting in conducting research, field studies and preparing data bank to help Forest Department and other NGOs
- Organising seminars, lectures, conferences, etc to encourage people’s participation in the conservation effort of the Society
- To create funds through donations, membership fee, grants, etc for the implementation of the Society's projects and plans
- To organise camps for cattle compensation
- To provide educational and financial support to the educational institutions in the adjoining areas of the national parks
